Westchester County truly has something for everyone. From parks to golf to the arts, there's always something to enjoy in Westchester. The below information should give you a feel for the area. Out and About: Arts Area Information: Healthcare There's always something new at the Katonah Museum of Art. The Museum is not limited to a permanent collection, allowing a wide variety of exhibitions on display throughout the year. Caramoor Center for the Arts in Katonah offers a full schedule of summer musical events as well as beautiful grounds for a picnic, guided tours or afternoon tea in the House Museum. The Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden in North Salem is a not-for-profit center for the humanities. Through programs, events, music and the arts, the Museum seeks to provide links between the East and the West. If you like to golf, Westchester has plenty of options. The County has 5 County, 2 municipal and 43 private golf courses and clubs. The County is also the site of the N.Y. metropolitan area’s only annual PGA and LPGA events. You can find local information on private and public golf courses in "Suburban Golf " - a monthly insert during golf season in the Westchester Journal News. Professional sports include: Harness Racing at Yonkers Raceway, The United States Tennis Association and the permanent training site of the New York Rangers NHL hockey team and the New York Knicks NBA basketball team. How about catching a show at the longest running, year-round equity theatre in the State of New York? It's only a short drive to the Westchester Broadway Theatre! Parks, Preserves and Trailways For a tranquil afternoon or a fun filled day with family and friends, visit one of Westchester's 51 County parks with 15,900 acres of beautiful park land. For a taste of history, you'll find the John Jay Homestead nestled right in Katonah. Muscoot Farm is around the corner with hayrides and farm animals. Around For a day with nature, Westchester offers nature centers, preserves and conservancies. The Teatown Lake Reservation encompasses over 730 acres of land, including a 33 acre lake, streams, gorges, forests and meadows. Westchester also boosts 4 County trailways, including the North County Trail. In all, the trails offer more than 90 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails. Get Local: Start your day in the morning at the Katonah Museum of Art, then visit John Jay Homestead (don't forget to see The Herb Garden!), then have a picnic at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation (bring your walking shoes, bikes or a frisbee in case you decide to stay) and afternoon tea at Caramoor Center for the Arts. can be important considerations, I researched each train station below to
provide detailed information on the current status of permit and metered parking
at area train stations. Please be
advised that in all instances where metered parking is available, an early
arrival is highly recommended to secure parking. Bedford Hills Bedford Hills resident parking is available for Bedford Hills residents, businesses operating in Bedford Hills and handicapped. Meter parking is available in Lot #3 in Katonah. Non-resident permit parking is available, but currently on a wait list for permits. Permit applications run on the same schedule as Katonah. For more information, contact: 914-666-8097 Chappaqua 40 non-resident permits are distributed yearly on a lottery basis. Metered parking available for non-residents. All other permits distributed to residents only. For more information, contact: 914-238-4771 Goldens Bridge Resident and non-resident parking permits available, but currently on an approximate two-year waiting list. Metered and valet parking available. For more information, contact: 888-682-PARK Katonah Resident, non-resident and limited meter parking available. There is currently a wait list for permit parking. Permits run yearly July 1- June 30. Permit applications for renewal are distributed in late March/early April. Permits are distributed on a first come, first serve basis (regardless of renewal versus new application). For more information, contact: 914-666-8097 Mount Kisco Permit parking for residents only. Limited meter parking is available. Residents are currently on a wait list for permit parking.
Parking permits are renewed yearly in November.
Existing permit holders are given first option to renew prior to new
